The Norwegian Adventure
Are you Korean or Japanese and curious about the Norwegian society and how we live our lives?
Do you want to experience Norwegian culture, learn the language and get friends for life?
Do you want to travel around Norway-an adventure of a lifetime?
Or maybe you want to prepare for further studies in Scandinavian subjects?
All of this is possible if you spend one year with us!
The school where The East meets The West
Our school’s slogan is “the school where The East meets The West”. Our Norwegian students have a great interest in Korea and Japan, and are studying subjects such as K-pop, Korean or Japanese language and Manga and webtoon. You will have many opportunities to share your own language and culture with our students, and it will be easy to find a common ground for communication and making international friends.
Here’s what you’ll learn over the course of the year

Language
You will learn Norwegian in an active and exciting way through activities, written and digital exercises to be able to read, speak and understand Norwegian for everyday use.
Culture
We will participate in many cultural events at the school or at various places around Norway. You will experience typical Norwegian activities, such as skiing, hiking in the forest and mountains, picking berries and fishing, dog sledding, going on cabin trips, canoeing, spending the night outside, watching the northern lights, sitting around the campfire, cooking outside, visiting farms and many more activities according to your interest. We will also visit sculpture parks and various museums, such as The Munch Museum, the home of Henrik Ibsen and Edvard Grieg and the National Gallery.

Society
You will live with Norwegian students and get firsthand experience about Norway. We will also have a look at political models and see how Norway and the Nordic countries are built up, and how our democracy works.
History
We will visit historical places and main cities like Oslo, Bergen and Trondheim, The Viking Ship Museum in Oslo, stave churches, the Norwegian Folk Museum and many other places to understand the Norwegian history.
